Important information
We will explore some places in the interior of the traditional village through the villager's footpath. It may be muddy, puddles and crossing wooden bridges. Prepare yourself for all possibilities that may occur.

Itinerary of Baliem Valley 7 days, Option B
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Wamena Arrival, Panorama, Traditional Houses (-/L/-)
Upon arrival at Wamena airport transfer to Baliem Pilamo Hotel. We begin our tour to Aikima in direction to the northern part of the Baliem Valley. Few kilometers from Town by drive to Aikima village to explore the Local traditional people of baliem valley. Along the way you will find the Danis working in their sweet potatoes fields and will see their daily activities. Arrive at Suroba, walk through the pine forest, enjoy the beautiful nature setting and crossing a bridge over Aike river before you arrive at the main road where the car is waiting for you. We will hike in 1-2 hours through the beautiful countryside and traditional houses of Dani people. Late afternoon back to the town. Dinner will be on your account.
Day 02: Trekking To The Southern Part of Baliem Valley (-/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel, by minibus drop us to Yetni river is direction to Southern Baliem Valley. From here where the trekking begins with all the porters and cook to reach Kurima in approximately 1 hour. Begin climbing the Hesegem hill on the direction of Kilise. Along the trails, you will meet local people in their activities and yet the scenery is very beautiful around. The tour goes on through Dani settlements with terraced fields and wild groves of sugar cane. All the time we have a wonderful view over the river. In the early afternoon we reach the church of Kilise village where we will stay overnight surrounded by beautiful landscape. Afternoon you may explore the traditional villages and learn about the people way of life. Lunch boxes is provided and dinner will be provided by a cook and stay at local guest house. (Walk approx. 4-5 hours).
Day 03: Trekking – Return To The Town (B/L/-)
Walk and down to baliem river for about 1 hour and crossing the suspension bridge on Baliem River.
After we successfully arrived at the other side of the river, then hike to 3-4 hours through the beautiful country side.. You will encounter and greeted by the Dani people who work in their steep sweet potato garden. Lunch en route. Hike 30 minutes and will arrive in the village of Syokosimo. In the afternoon if time still avaiable, we may visit the people in the village and interact with them. Lunch boxes is provided, walk to the terminal. From here we will use a 4WD car to return to Wamena town. Dinner will be on your account. Accommodation at Baliem Pilamo Hotel.
Notes and important information:
The suspension bridge is approximately 30 meters long and is damaged, we have to be extra careful when crossing it. Where you have to hold your breath for a few minutes to cross it. If it is not possible to cross the bridge then we have to change the route to another village as a substitute or direction to Syokosimo.
Day 04: Mummy, Traditional Dani Houses, Mock Battle/Traditional Dance (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel, In the morning we drive up to Jiwika in the central Baliem Valley. A special welcome will be given to you upon your arrival in the Village; the tribe member will assemble wearing their best outfit to show their appreciation. The Tribe chief will stand on a Traditional Observation and give the order to his people to celebrate. A special "Pig Festival" is one of the most interesting exhibitions you will see on traveling to Papua. Photographer has said that this unique event cannot be described by words alone. Lunchboxes will be served in the villages. In Sumpaima village we will see a very old mummy of the famous Dugum clan is proudly presented for your viewing. In the vicinity we will see more picturesque hamlets. Everywhere the friendly natives offer their arts and crafts, weapons and curiosities for our inspection. In the afternoon drive back to the Hotel. Lunch in Box is provided, dinner will be on your account. Accommodation at hotel in the town.
Day 05: By Flight To Jayapura - Foot of Mt. Cyclop (B/L/D)
Breakfast and transfer to the Airport for fly return to Jayapura, arrive in Jayapura proceed by car drive to foot Mt Cyclop in 2 hours - The scenery during the trip and not boring you. Lunch is served enroute or provided by local people in the villages. Late afternoon around 16:00 PM walking into the forest to explore the jungle flora and fauna in the foot of Mt Cyclop. Here we will visit the bird of paradise habitat, walking about 40 minutes from where we stay. Usually some types of endemic birds stay long and breed here. depends on the weather when we visit. Dinner is served by Local people and accommodation at simple guest house on the edge of the forest.
Day 06: Foot of Mt. Cyclop - Lake Sentani/City Tour (B/L/-)
Before breakfast around 5 o'clock in the morning hiking in different directions to see birds of paradise or other bird birds while exploring the rainforest. Return to the Accommodation and enjoy the breakfast provided. By car, on the way return to the city we will stop in Teletubis hills, from the parking lot you have to walk to reach the maximum height so that the Enchantment of Lake Sentani is more visible and amazing which is surrounded by hills. Here you can enjoy the beauty of Lake Sentani and its surroundings. 30 Minutes drive to Kalkote Dock to have a local boat for excursion at Lake Sentani, we could do a lake tour 1-2hours in the this lake by seeing local people with their traditional life. Walk around and seeing the local people of Sentani tribe making & selling their arts, bark painting, neckles, and variety of handy craft. Lunch at Local restaurant near lake Sentani.
On the way to get to downtown of Jayapura, about 20 minutes away from the city center we will stop at the TVRI Transmitter. From this height the view of the city of Jayapura is very charming with the wind blowing you into the memories of the history of the second world war in the city of Jayapura when the Japanese army controlled the city of Jayapura, formerly called Hollandia as the provincial capital of Netherland New Guinea. You will be amazed after being in this place, saying that Jayapura City is a city of memories that cannot be forgotten. Dinner will be on your account. Accommodation at hotel in the town.
Day 07: Jayapura - Departure (B/-/-)
After breakfast at your hotel, by car transfer to the airport leaving Jayapura for Sorong, Makasar, Jakarta or Denpasar.
