Important information
Observing birds of paradise requires patience. Watch their movements and don't get too close so as not to disturb their activities.
While entering the forest, it is not allowed to use camera lights, sharp weapons or anything that can damage the eco-system.
Accommodation (guest house) is on the edge of the forest without adequate facilities. Using fans, toilets, and rainwater for washing.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, we will provide simple food, unlike restaurants in the city, we will be assisted by the local community.
This bird is classified as an animal protected by the Government and the community.
Itinerary of 5 days Bird Watching In the Foot of Mt. Cycloop
Day 01: Jayapura Arrival - Foot of Mt Cycloop (D).
Arrive in Jayapura, meet and by car start you adventure to the foot Mt Cyclop in 2,5hours, Lunch box will be provided. We will find a small accommodation for stay. and we need a few hours to talk and discuss with local people who knows very well where the bird playing around in every period of time. some birds in this area moving to different places. Dinner will be prepared by local people and stay in the guest house on the edge of the forest.
Day 02: Birding in the foot of Mt Cycloop (B,L,D)
Early in the morning at 05.00am from Fist Camp we drive into the mid of the jungle until the end of road, prepare all the stuffs: camera, and all tents. from here we will explore the jungle, we may walk in 4-5 hours into the jungle, depends on weather. box lunch is provided. base on our previous experience we could watch some kinds of birds like Hornbill, Cacato, King Bird of Paradise, Twelve-wired Bird of Paradise and the Lesser Bird of Paradise. Afternoon return walk to the village for overnight stay. Dinner will be prepared by local people and stay in the guest house on the edge of the forest.
Day 03: : Birding in the foot of Mt Cycloop (B,L,D)
At 04.00am after breakfast, conitinue explore another areas of birds or to other direction of Jungle in finding different kinds of the bird in different areas, depend on local condition, sometime we do not need to walk so far from our temporary camp as the birds flying and playing near the camp. Lunch box is provided, afternoon return walk to the village for accommodation. Dinner will be prepared by local people and stay in the guest house on the edge of the forest.
Day 04 : Return to the Town (B,L)
After breakfast at our tent, by car return to Sentani Area for Accommodation, Lunch at local restaurant. You may have sightseeing tour to visit Lake Sentani & city of Jayapura, Dinner will be on your account and overnight stay at Medium Accommodation in Sentani area.
Day 05 : Departure (B)
fter breakfast at hotel on time transfer to the Airport for your onward flight to the next destinations. End Of Service.
